Describe a random encounter with a stranger that stuck out positively to you.
Today, I want to share with you the incredible journey I embarked on to transform not only my body but also my entire life. It all started one day when a stranger’s simple compliment made me realize just how far I had come. In this blog post, I will share my story of determination, hard work, and overcoming the naysayers in my quest to lose weight and become the best version of myself. So, sit back, grab a cup of coffee, and let me take you on this inspiring ride.
The Compliment That Changed Everything:
It was a day like any other, and I was minding my business when an older gentleman stopped me and said, “You look good good son!” At first, I was taken aback by the random compliment, but then I realized that this was an opportunity to share my weight loss journey. I thanked him and began to tell him how I had worked tirelessly to shed those extra pounds, despite everyone around me telling me that I would always be “big Kenny.” That brief encounter became the catalyst for me to share my story with others, hoping to inspire them as well.
Defying the Odds:
At my heaviest, I weighed 310 pounds. People around me would often say that I should accept my size and not put too much pressure on myself to lose weight. Just lose a little, but don’t stress about being hella skinny or losing a lot of weight. But deep down, I knew that I had the power to change my life. So, I set out on a journey to transform my body and mindset. Losing weight changes a lot of things and. Not just your body.
The Journey Begins:
My weight loss journey started with setting realistic goals and embracing healthier habits. I knew that fad diets and quick fixes wouldn’t work for me, so I opted for a sustainable and balanced approach to losing weight. I started by changing my eating habits, cutting out processed foods, and incorporating more whole, nutritious foods into my diet.
I also made a conscious effort to be more active, incorporating regular exercise into my daily routine. To be honest I also did way too much cardio and that was because I fell in love with running and counting caloric burn. My goal was 500-1000 and that didn’t include I was already in a deficit.
The Transformation:
Over the course of a year and a half, my hard work and dedication paid off. I went from weighing 310 pounds to a much healthier 172 pounds. The physical transformation was amazing, but the mental shift was even more significant. I learned that I could accomplish anything I set my mind to, and I gained a newfound sense of self-confidence and pride in my achievements. You can do it too, and you’re right that is a whole persons weight loss, but the concept of winning while losing is the key here.
Inspiring Others:
Now, I am on a mission to share my story with others and inspire them to chase their dreams, no matter how impossible they may seem. If you’re struggling with your weight or any other challenge in your life, remember that change is possible with determination, hard work, and a positive attitude.
Conclusion:
My weight loss journey taught me that we all have the power to change our lives, even when the odds seem stacked against us. So, if you’re facing challenges or self-doubt, remember my story and know that you, too, can achieve incredible things if you believe in yourself and are willing to put in the hard work. And who knows, maybe one day a stranger’s compliment will remind you just how far you’ve come.

Things I used and still continue to use for my journey: (Links)
MyFitnessPal is a great a app!
Digital Scale – this is a game changer as I used to use one that had the redline! Chuckle if you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Caffeine supplements are for some and are not. I used them over the energy drinks, however I’m not a clinical doctor to tell you what to do. Just my journey.
Multivitamin for daily supplement
Protein Powder Power for my lack of appetite and need to succeed
L Carnitine metabolic enhancer
Track your workouts! Huge difference when you see what you did or needed to do post workout if not are able in the now applicable apps on phone
Be safe and mindful on your journey and what I did may not work for you, however like I stated to myself when looking for the best way I asked others and adapted my approach to my life and body.

Great article Coach Kenny, and awesome job in your weight loss!
There was a stranger who helped me see my own potential in calisthenics, and helped me achieve a muscle up (which I have been working on and consistently failing for about 2 years). He helped me achieve something that had taken me a long time to figure out. That’s why I believe it’s important to be kind to others and encourage others when you can, because you never know how you might help someone else and change their life for the better!
With that being said, maybe I can suggest getting a food scale if you haven’t already (I use this one, but if you find a better one then go for it: https://www.target.com/p/kitchenaid-11lb-glass-surface-kitchen-scale/-/A-76341878#lnk=sametab)? it provided me with a more precise measurement of my food + calories when I put it into MyFitnessPal, and may serve to do the same for you.
Also, for diet, here are some YouTube Channels that have helped me make food that is “healthily-unhealthy” (think of high protein french toast + pancakes, burrito meal prep, cheesecake, stuff like that):

Thank you for your article and keep up your hard work 🙂
