Self Compassion
Self-compassion is the practice of treating oneself with the same compassion, care, and understanding as one would a close friend. It is about accepting your flaws and errors and being gentle with yourself during difficult times.
When we treat ourselves with compassion, we are more likely to:
Accept our flaws as our own. We all have faults and commit errors. When we are able to embrace our own flaws, we are less likely to punish ourselves for them.
Be kind to ourselves in times of difficulty. Everyone experiences difficulties. When we are able to be kind to ourselves during difficult circumstances, we are more likely to effectively manage them.
Be tolerant of ourselves. Change is gradual. When we are able to be patient with ourselves, we are more likely to achieve our objectives and persevere.
Self-compassion is not concerned with perfection. It is about being kind to ourselves despite our imperfections. Self-compassion increases our likelihood of being joyful and healthy.

Three components make up self-compassion:
Self-kindness entails being kind and forgiving to oneself, even when making errors. It involves conversing with yourself as you would with a struggling companion.
Mindfulness means paying attention without judgment to your thoughts and emotions. It involves accepting your emotions, including the negative ones, without attempting to drive them away.
Common humanity: Recognizing that all individuals experience anguish and suffering. Understanding that you are not alone in your struggles is essential.
