If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?

Have you ever imagined yourself as a superhero, swooping in to save the day with your incredible abilities? Well, I’ve had my share of daydreams, and if I could choose to be any character from a book or film, I would undoubtedly become the Black Power Ranger. In this blog post, I’ll share the fun reasons why I feel connected to this iconic character and sprinkle in some lesser-known facts about the Power Rangers that will surprise even the most die-hard fans.
Embodying Strength and Confidence
As the Black Power Ranger I would have the opportunity to embody strength and confidence. While each Power Ranger possesses unique skills, the Black Power Ranger has always been known for their physical skill and agility. Just like this fearless superhero, I would love to channel my inner warrior and take on challenges head-on, inspiring others to find their own strength along the way. Not to mention beating up those foot soldiers would be fun.
Did you know that the original Black Power Ranger, Zack Taylor, was portrayed by Walter Emanuel Jones, who is missing the middle finger on his left hand? The show cleverly hid this fact throughout the series. I remember reading about it and was amazed I or my friends never saw it.
The Power of Friendship and Teamwork
One of the key themes in the Power Rangers universe is the power of friendship and teamwork. The Rangers, despite their individual abilities, rely on each other to defeat their enemies. As the Black Power Ranger, I would be part of a diverse and dynamic team, learning to trust and support my fellow Rangers. This camaraderie is something I deeply value and would love to experience firsthand.
The Power Rangers franchise was inspired by a Japanese show called “Super Sentai.” While the American version focuses more on the team’s adventures, the original Japanese show emphasizes the importance of teamwork and unity.
The Cool Gadgets and Zords
Who wouldn’t want to have access to an arsenal of incredible gadgets and giant robots? As the Black Power Ranger, I would have the chance to wield the powerful Power Axe and pilot the mighty Mastodon Dinozord. These incredible tools not only make the Black Ranger a formidable force, but they also add an element of fun to the superhero experience.
The Zords‘ names and designs have changed throughout the Power Rangers series, reflecting the themes of each season. In the 1993 series, “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” the Black Ranger’s Zord was the Mastodon, whereas, in the 2017 film, it was reimagined as the Mastodon Battle Zord.
In the end, the opportunity to become the Black Power Ranger would be a once dream come true. With incredible strength, a deep sense of teamwork, and access to amazing gadgets and Zords, this superhero persona perfectly aligns with my values and aspirations. So, next time you see a flash of black streaking across the sky, just remember, it could be me, living out my dream as the Black Power Ranger.
